There are mornings in our house when my husband is up and out of the house hours before I am and then I find myself rushing to get ready while hoping the little one stays asleep. Since these mornings happen often around here, it’s tough at times to get a good breakfast in. I came across this smoothie recipe for a healthy way to start the day and thought I’d share it with you for those rushed mornings in your house.
Fruity Breakfast Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- ½ banana
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 ½ Tbsp honey
Mix all ingredients in blender until smooth.
Pour into glasses and garnish smoothie with a red licorice swirl, strawberry or make a red licorice straw from a licorice stick.
Remove end of licorice so the ends are open.
