Let’s Explore!

The Pharr Aquatic Center has been open for just a few years, and we finally made it out there! I’m so glad we did!

I took my three kiddos on a weekday in late July. We went early to beat the crowd, and we had a blast!

The park features plenty of seating and shade. There are two body slides, two fun splash and spray areas, and a lazy river connected to a tube slide. Kiddos have to be over 47 inches tall to ride on the slides. My six-year-old just barely missed the cut, but she’ll be tall enough next year!

Insider Tips:

  • Bring water shoes for the littles…the deck gets very hot
  • Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, but there is a concesion stand with nachos, pocorn and drinks.
  • I recommend this adventure for kids ages three and up. Water wings/puddle jumpers aren’t allowed on the slides or lazy river.

So, RGV Moms, get out there and explore! Check out our RGV Directory for more information and adventure ideas!
