We are excited about the launch of Rio Grande Valley Moms Blog (RGVMB) and want to extend a warm welcome to all of you. ย We cannot wait to share our mishaps insights into motherhood with you. We hope you learn more about our community and get out there and experience it first-hand (and tell us about it too!).

Here you will find information about whatโ€™s going on in the lives of moms who live right here in deep South Texas – Rio Grande Valley. We share tips about what to do with kids around town (and during the throes of our so-very-hot summers).

We also talk a lot about getting out and connecting with other moms! We know that itโ€™s difficult to get out and meet other moms when naps and eating and potty-training are calling for your attention. This is our little attempt to make the world feel smaller and to encourage you that YOU ARENโ€™T ALONE! We are all just trying our best to raise great kids who know that they belong to a loving family and a wonderful community!

Our Writers

RGVMB is a collaborative blog written by local moms for local moms. We are passionate about encouraging otherย RGV Moms to get out in our great community and try new things all the while making life richer for everyone! Our hope is to host a great site that is both a resource and a place where local Moms can come and find some much needed encouragement and support.

  1. Super excited about this blog!! Since moving down to the valley in 2008, it was pretty difficult to find things to do around here. I think this is a great idea!! Can’t wait to read more!!!

  2. This is so new to me and I am learning as I go. I have never blog before and am so excited about what’s out there for moms. Kristina and Vanessa can’t wait to hear about all that is happening.

  3. This will be a great resource for the mom’s group I’m a part of! Brownsville MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers). If it’s ok with you I’d like to have your website listed in our upcoming newsletter!

  4. I was just sent your link by a friend and I am so excited! I am new to the area and also a new SAHM. Connecting with other moms and finding things to do with my 6 month old son has been very difficult. I look forward to discovering more about the area!!

  5. So glad I stumbled upon this through Instagram. We moved to TX several months ago, and then moved from Harlingen to teeny Elsa at the end of December. We’ve been getting more familiar with the area, but haven’t met many people since the second move. I look forward to keeping up!

  6. hello everyone.

I’m an older mom, im 48 with a 4 year old. She is an only child.

I’m looking to connect with mothers who have play dates on the weekends. I’m trying to network so that my daughter can have friends.

I had no idea it would be so challenging.

Any advice, feedback and direction is welcomed.
