We are excited about the launch of Rio Grande Valley Moms Blog (RGVMB) and want to extend a warm welcome to all of you. ย We cannot wait to share our mishaps insights into motherhood with you. We hope you learn more about our community and get out there and experience it first-hand (and tell us about it too!).
Here you will find information about whatโs going on in the lives of moms who live right here in deep South Texas – Rio Grande Valley. We share tips about what to do with kids around town (and during the throes of our so-very-hot summers).
We also talk a lot about getting out and connecting with other moms! We know that itโs difficult to get out and meet other moms when naps and eating and potty-training are calling for your attention. This is our little attempt to make the world feel smaller and to encourage you that YOU ARENโT ALONE! We are all just trying our best to raise great kids who know that they belong to a loving family and a wonderful community!
RGVMB is a collaborative blog written by local moms for local moms. We are passionate about encouraging otherย RGV Moms to get out in our great community and try new things all the while making life richer for everyone! Our hope is to host a great site that is both a resource and a place where local Moms can come and find some much needed encouragement and support.
RGVMB is affiliated with the City Moms Blog Network which is a team of blogs from across the country designed to give you the best information out there. ย We know there are a lot of blogs available at your fingertips, many specializing in motherhood, but we are committed to blogging weekly about all things Rio Grande Valley and all things Mommy. ย We will include everyday topics from raising your children, product information and recalls, to heated topics like intimacy.
You can expect weekly blogs about a variety of topics including
โ Date Night Ideas
โ Playgroup Information and Mommy Night Out events
โ Local Events and fun things to do with kids and family
โ Wisdom from RGV Moms right in the thick of it
โ Information about AWESOME local businesses we love and support
โ Child Development
โ Health and Fitness
โ Tried and True Recipes
โ Product Information and Recalls
Check with us from day to day for give-aways from fabulous local vendors and for products that are RGV kid tested and mother approved and others that are mother tested and kid approved.

Thanks Natalie!
I was just sent your link by a friend and I am so excited! I am new to the area and also a new SAHM. Connecting with other moms and finding things to do with my 6 month old son has been very difficult. I look forward to discovering more about the area!!
Hi Lynn! Welcome to the RGV and to the blog! If you have a question or need a recommendation, post on our Facebook page or message us and we’ll be sure to ask the other mommies for their input!
So glad I stumbled upon this through Instagram. We moved to TX several months ago, and then moved from Harlingen to teeny Elsa at the end of December. We’ve been getting more familiar with the area, but haven’t met many people since the second move. I look forward to keeping up!
Welcome Wendy! Glad you found us!
hello everyone.
I’m an older mom, im 48 with a 4 year old. She is an only child.
I’m looking to connect with mothers who have play dates on the weekends. I’m trying to network so that my daughter can have friends.
I had no idea it would be so challenging.
Any advice, feedback and direction is welcomed.
