Happy New Year from RGVMB! We hope you enjoyed your holiday season and time with your families. We are glad we all made it through the holiday season and have a lot to look forward to in the year ahead.
When I think about what my life has become over the last couple of years, I realize that I am so incredibly blessed to be where I am today. 2012 was a good year for me and I am thankful for that. So, I can’t say I hope 2013 is better than last year although, I am going to strive to make myself a better person. I have to ask myself, then, what do I want for my future in 2013?
My goals for 2013:
- To be a better wife, mother, daughter, and sister
- To go to church at least once every week
- To be a better cook
- To develop better study habits (for school)
- To spend more time at the beach
- To visit my hair stylist every 3 months (instead of 6)
- To clean out drawers and closets and get rid of all the things I haven’t used in over a year
- To have our backyard landscaped
I’ve been told to always keep your goals realistic and start small. I believe this is a good way to start…not too demanding, includes a bit of relaxing, and definitely all will help improve me and my life. Seems attainable, right? I think so. Of course, I plan to improve myself in each area over the entire year. I’m not saying I will become the best cook, but I will at least try to create new dishes and perfect at least one. As for my hair, my stylist was thrilled when I told him I’d be back to see him in three months…I’m sure he’s crossing his fingers that I’ll actually show up. I will! This year, I will! As for the backyard, my husband will be so excited once it’s done! Oh, there is so much to look forward to this year!! I am so excited!
What are your resolutions or goals you set for 2013? Have you already broken some of those resolutions? What does creating a resolution mean to you? We’d love for you to share with us.
Happy 2013! We hope it’s a fantastic year for all of you!!
