For those of you with resolutions to get into shape or become more active, here are two events going on this week/weekend.
Port Isabel Longest Causeway 10k Run & Fitness Walk

This year’s event will also follow the 6.2 mile (10K) course starting at the Port Isabel Community Center and ending in front of Louie’s Backyard on South Padre Island. Awards ceremonies and lunch will be held immediately following the race at Louie’s Backyard.

Come join us for a 5K run at Bill Schupp Park to raise money for the Palm Valley Animal Center! Loads of fun, prizes, drinks, bring your friends and family! (Furry guests not recommended)
All proceeds of the run will go to the Palm Valley Animal Center. Your donations and participation will greatly support the efforts to give the animals a comfortable stay and a greater opportunity for a chance at a new home.
