On my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Valerie and our two Cocker Spaniels, Charlie & Sammy. We recently had our first child, Lilly, and are excited to be new parents. Dr. Martin Garza is a Rio Grande Valley native. A graduate from PSJA High School, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Univeristy of Texas Pan American in Edinburg. He obtained his Medical Degree from the university of Iowa- College of Medicine in Iowa City, ranked one of the top 10 medical schools in the country. He served his pediatric residency at the University of Texas Health Center in San Antonio.
After completion of his training, Dr. Garza along with his wife Maribel and their three children, Daniel, Leah and Christabel, chose to return home to live and serve the community he grew up in. DLC Pediatrics has been established to provide the best and most advanced healthcare possible for the children of the Rio Grande Valley.

Bejarano McFarland Memorial Park is located in the colonia of Laguna Heights, within the city limits of Port Isabel. The park is approximately 2.0 acres in size and borders the Laguna Madre bay. The amenities offered at the park consist of a Bird Watch Overlook with interpretative signs that extend 110 feet into the Laguna Madre, outdoor basketball court, playground, multi-purpose trail, a large picnic pavilion with bbq pits and a butterfly garden.
