Does anyone else get to Friday and feel like nothing and everything is going on and you just can’t decide where to start? Then you get to Sunday night and the FOMO sinks in when you see what everyone else did this weekend?
Well, worry no more. The RGV Moms have your back. We’ve picked out TOP events for this weekend and here they are.
- Visit a Pumpkin Patch. Some of the patches around the Valley are already open! Read our guide for details, hours, and maps. The photo ops are well worth a drive, too. Our advice is to go with cash as most of these pumpkin patches are fundraisers and take cash only.
- Santa Ana NWR Free Sunday – Have you been out there yet? This local National Wildlife Refuge has free entry the first Sunday of every month (this weekend!) so it may be a good time to check it out.
- Sand Castle Days at South Padre Island – This fun event is going on all weekend long. It’s amazing how the artists are able to sculpt the sand into such amazing creations! Plus, it’s cooling down, so the beach is awesome this time of year!
- Farmers Market – Saturday morning Farmer’s Market trip. The two in McAllen are near parks and outdoor spaces as well as the McAllen Public Library. Brownsville is set right by the zoo and great space to enjoy the outdoors with the kids! Check out our Community Calendar for more!
