Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, Dr. Gutierrez currently lives in McAllen with her young daughter. She loves being near her family.
She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and has been in practice since 1986. Graduating with honors from Rice University in 1978, she received her MD from Harvard Medical School in 1982. She then completed a surgical internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and a pediatric residency at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Gutierrez has worked in a wide range of practice settings and has taught medical students and pediatric residents. She volunteers her time at the Hope Center, providing pediatric care to disadvantaged families, and serves on the Board of Directors at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hidalgo County.
She is affiliated with Doctors Hospital Renaissance, Rio Grande Regional Hospital, McAllen Medical Center and Edinburg Children’s Hospital.
