Kristina and I are overwhelmed and humbled by the love and support we received form all you local Mommas out there. We’re over the moon excited about providing a resource to you. And though we felt it was important to tell you a little bit about the gals behind the scenes here at RGVMB, we want to stress that this is not a blog about us. This blog is about YOU and the challenges and adventures you face in the various roles you play each and everyday.
For those of you with school-aged kiddos, summer is coming to an end and I don’t know about you but I am really bummed! I am about to send my Little Guy off to Kindergarten in less than a week and I am a wreck about it! I am horrible with routines and schedules and though Cole was in pre-school it was only 4 hours a day, it started at 9:30 am and we skipped a lot! Needless to say, I knew Kindergarten was going to be a challenge for me him so to help me him adjust (and remember!) to this new routine, I decided to create some bedtime routine cards.
They are available to download for free for readers of RGVMB! So download away and best of luck getting those babies in and out of bed!
Do you use routine charts/cards in your home? What works for you and you family?
I’m w/ you about scared of the new routine & schedules. I never had one either since my Nathan was born & went from full time work to part time work; in order to be w/ him more. Thats not what makes me a nervous wreck though. My son is super excited to start kinder! He is even counting down the nights. For me it’s the idea of knowing all those baby years are officially gone w/ him! It’s only gonna get harder & he is gonna need me less & less throughout the yrs. to come. I feel like tomorrow morning I’m gonna cry ( like i have already done ) & if i close my eyes & then open them he will be graduating from high school & ready to leave for college. You always hear our parents say ‘it goes buy so fast.” Just like it has w/ us. Maybe i’m just being over dramatic or maybe i’m just being a mom! Lol!
HI Kimberly! O went on a late night Burger King run on Friday night after we met his teacher and I was bawling because she said the plan was to drop the kids off in the assembly hall and then leave. No going to the classrooms, no drawn out good-byes, no peeking through the window. I actually considered puling him and moving schools until a few other friends told me they had to do the same at their schools too. Totally dreading tomorrow!
