Those Littles and that Big up there, they rock my world. They drive me to the brink of insanity and then they bring me back. Back to the chaotic bliss that is my life;)
I met that handsome guy up there on the right when I was 16. He was a Senior and I was a Junior in high school. He was quiet and unassuming, just how I like ’em. After 3 months of “going steady”, I knew I wanted to keep him. So I told him so. Then I also told him I wanted to go to college, get married, have babies and spend my days at home taking care of them.
And guess what ya’ll?! He didn’t run! I did graduate college with a degree in Business Administration. In November 2002, I became Mrs. William Eggleston! I went on to teach for a couple of years. I did my share of elementary school, bilingual, high school and special education. Then I went out and got my certification from The Protocol School of Washington as an Etiquette and Protocol Consultant. I left my job teaching in the public schools to open The Etiquette and Leadership Academy where I teach etiquette on a consulting basis.
Starting a family was a priority, but it was also proving to be a challenge for us. Finally, in February of 2007, we welcomed Cole into the world. And right away, we decided to try for more. But again, we were plagued with infertility and I was growing depressed about it. I needed a creative outlet. So Mother’s Day 2008, my husband bought me Adobe Creative Suites. And somewhere, somehow, in between playdates and naps, I got a taste of graphic design and paper goods and I started peddling paper. {First Comes Love} Then Comes Paper was created out of the office in our home.
After three years of trying, we learned we were pregnant with Ellie. She was born in January 2011. And things in our home and in my business just all started to fall into place. I had found the perfect imbalance between motherhood and work.
The baby, Little Bill (William) came along December 2012. He was a joyful surprise and he hasn’t stopped surprising us yet!
