On Friday, November 4th, around 300 RGV moms, dads, kids, friends, and grandparents gathered for #CostcoMomHour at our local Costco warehouse in Pharr, Texas! This was our second year offering this free event to our readers alongside City Moms Blog Network and our partners, Costco, and we were thrilled with the turnout!
The event took place one hour before Costco regularly opens and included swag bags for the first 100 families through the door and an incredible breakfast spread with coffee included. The warehouse was buzzing with excitement before the doors opened and it was a party right from the start!
Costco had samples all around the warehouse, seemingly around every corner. Our moms that brought kids told us they were entertained AND fed while mom did some shopping and browsing all before 10:00 AM. Win-win!
The first stop, of course, was a photo op with the giant Costco bears!
“I took my 2 little ones with me and we had a great time. We met up with friends and it was a nice way to get our regular shopping done.” – Rachel M.
“We enjoyed A.Swag bag, B. Breakfast, C. Shopping early, and G. Kid friendly food samples as we shopped
😉 We are already Costco shoppers, and enjoyed this special event opportunity. The sample people are always so nice! Even if I don’t buy the product that day, I am definitely more likely to buy something if I’ve already tried and liked it!” – Elizabeth E.
Costco gave away prizes to three attendees and had a fun treasure hunt to go along with the event. Two $100 gift cards to Costco and a year supply of Tide Pods were the prizes for those three lucky winners. #score
We saw lots of happy moms catching up with friends, meeting new friends, checking out Costco for the first time, getting their weekly Costco shopping done, you name it!
“I enjoyed the opportunity to browse around without the crowd. I’ve been there before as a guest, but I’m a first-time Costco member as of that day! Thanks a bunch, Rio Grande Valley Moms Blog!” – Christina S.
“…so friendly and loved everything….looking forward for another gathering.” – Monzerrat G.
We have more events planned and in the meantime would love to keep in touch on social media. Let’s stay connected!
