The City of Edinburg, Museum of South Texas History and Area956 are joining forces to host the new Los Muertos Bailan Block Party in downtown Edinburg on Saturday, October 22 from 5p.m. to 11p.m.
Los Muertos Bailan Block Party celebrates life, memory and the Mexican and borderlands tradition of Día de los Muertos. The event will run down McIntyre Street, in downtown Edinburg, with performances at the new City of Edinburg Amphitheater and Museum of South Texas History.
New this year is a Chalk Walk hosted by Area956. The Chalk Walk will include art pieces painted by local students who will compete for prizes while displaying their artistic talents and traditional elements of Día de los Muertos.
