Good Roots is a juice bar in McAllen, TX. Our business is based on promoting & selling cold pressed juices, protein shakes, wellness shots & a variety of other beverage/food products to our customers. We believe in providing healthy alternatives to our community without sacrificing taste.
Good Roots is family owned & operated. Passionate about health, mother & son duo, Xochilt & Michael Garcia decided to combine their respective expertise in nutrition & business to collaborate on this new venture, In the spirit of entrepreneurship and the rising health food trends, Good Roots was founded to produce juices of superior quality at an affordable price.

The Nurse Family Partnership Program at Women’s Hospital (NFP-WH) is a free, home-visiting program for first-time, low-income families, in Hidalgo and Willacy county. Our experienced, registered nurses visit with local families, from the time mom’s pregnant, until their baby is two years old. Some of our goals are to encourage quality prenatal care, support full-term pregnancies, provide health and mental health education, facilitate access to local resources, provide early intervention for cognitive and developmental delays, prevent child abuse and neglect, and ultimately strengthen the community through our families.

This spot in South McAllen has everything! It’s located at the Palmview Community Center, so there’s a branch library, gym, as well as the outdoor facilities. The splash pad is very interactive, and has restrooms and picnic tables with shade. It’s also a summer meals location through the McAllen ISD summer feeding program. The playground is perfect for kids 5-12. There are some high slides and steep drops for the little ones. There’s also a walking path, exercise equipment, basketball court and skate park.
This cute neighborhood park is perfect for your littles! It has a low playground, shaded pavilion, walking path, basketball court and sand volleyball area.
