Welcome to our Mother’s Day Out program. We give Mom’s of babies 3 months to pre-k the opportunity to have a morning off, while providing children a safe, fun, learning environment consisting of bible stories, arts and crafts and music.
FIT4MOM is the nation’s leading prenatal and postnatal fitness program, providing fitness classes and a network of moms to support every stage of motherhood. From pregnancy, through postpartum and beyond, our fitness and wellness programs help make moms strong in body, mind, and spirit. In addition to our workouts, we also offer Mom’s Night Out, playgroups for kids, and participate in charity work.

About Our Mommy or Daddy and Me Classes: Your monthly tuition includes four 45-minute music classes. Music Classes will be 45 minutes once a week within the enrolled month. Mr. Red will focus on Vocal Warm-ups, Solfege, Movement, Games, Note Reading, Rhythm Training, Ear Training, Basic Math, Reading, Writing skills, Bells and Ukulele. Over time, students will grasp musical concepts that will create a foundation for future musical experiences. Our goal is to transition children to more advanced instruments. Classes are $65 a month
Private Lessons: We currently offer violin, viola, guitar and ukulele lessons. Your monthly tuition includes four 30-minute music lessons. Private lessons will be 30 minutes once a week within the enrolled month. Private Lessons are $60 a month.

“The Rio Grande Valley Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition is a collaborative effort, providing county-wide leadership on the issue of Teen Pregnancy through community awareness, health education and youth development.”

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) helps connect mothers with each other during the preschool years and beyond. We meet the first and third Thursday of the month at BT McAllen from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Childcare is provided. Our meetings include brunch, small groups and either a craft, panel discussion or guest speaker.

While my main focus is wedding photography, I love photographing all types of subjects. I take on a limited amount of portrait work and enjoy documenting the smallest of details in my subject(s). The International Museum of Art & Science is a Smithsonian Affiliate and fully accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. IMAS is the premier art and science museum of South Texas and contains over 50,000 square feet of exhibit space. The IMAS galleries host a number of revolving art and science exhibits each year. The museum provides a unique opportunity for visitors to participate in hands-on science exhibits and to learn about original works of art while encouraging creativity and innovation. The IMAS permanent collection includes more than 2,000 natural history and geology specimens and 4,500 folk art and textile objects. The 1,500 fine art works in the permanent collection reflect many countries and artistic movements beyond Mexico, dating from the 16th century to the present.

It is the city’s oldest park, but new facilities added in 2012 continue to make this a favorite spot. It includes picnic areas, a playground, and a water‐spraying splash pad. Benches in the shade of a tall tree make a perfect spot to read a good book because the Whipple Memorial Library is just next door.

Brownsville’s Resaca de la Palma boasts the largest tract of native habitat in the World Birding Center network. Visitors can enjoy over 8 miles of off-road trails, four observation decks that overlook four miles of resaca wetland, and a 2.76-mile paved loop by tram, hiking and biking. Bikes, binoculars, and Explorer Packs are available for rent.
El Ranchito Park is located near the intersection of Highway 281 and Park Ranch Road, just southeast of San Benito. The newly constructed park offers a number of recreational elements and amenities such as regulation size little league multi-use field, full-sized soccer field, a walking trail, basketball court, playground, butterfly garden, benches, and picnic pavilions.
Park amenities include a 1.5 walking trail, 54 acres of wooded park land, nature trails, observation blind overlooking the Arroyo Colorado, restrooms, and a covered picnic area.
